Komodo, April 2006
One of the first Komodo actions after opening MMDiving Resort on Nusa Penida. A very succesfull action and a great bunch of divers from Zlín, Brno and Prague. Thanks to this action, we met our present workmates and friends Ivo Mitáček, now the head of Kura Kura Czech civil association, and Milan Caha, a very good photographer working for UWH Ltd. Company in Zlín, whose owner is a partner of SEA LADY dive ship.
Nusa Penida, July 2006
In July 2006, just a few days after the end of the World Football Cup, the Czech national footballer and the pillar of defensive lines David Rozehnal visited us with his beautiful wife Petra. This visit was a huge surprise for footballers of the local team PERSETO Toyapakeh, which we not only sponsor, but some of the employees of MMDiving even play for the team.
Alor, September 2006
A fantastic journey to the far east of the Alor Islands. Ivo Mitáček and Milan Caha took part in this action, and took really fascinating photos later published in various numbers of the magazine Oceán, and shown at succcesfull exhibitions in Zlín. This action was as if cut out for the FRMOL Company, which filmed for CT1 one episode of the travel series NA CESTĚ (ON THE WAY).
Leuser NP, February 2007
An amazing adventurous expedition to the heart of the rainforest in Leuser NP on Sumatra. A group of adventurers from Mexit Diving Team from Hradec set out with us for 4 days to the green jungle hell. One of the members is the present main investor and a companion on the board of SEA LADY, who has become an enthusiastic collector of adventures on the journeys through Indonesia. Another personality present on the expedition was Vladimír Hanák, a former basketball national player, who was, because of his being 204cm high, literally like a spectre for Indonesians. Nonetheless, all the members of this exceedingly succesfull expedition deserve credit.
Gunung Rinjany, July 2007
An exceedingly difficult and beautiful high-mountain expedition to the top of the second largest Indonesian volcano Gunung Rinjany, which rises to 3.726 metres above sea level. This demanding high-mountain track took us 4 days, and all the members conquered the peak. Maybe the best relax was the bath in hot sulfur springs right next to an amazing lake in the height of 2.000 m above sea level. Highest appreciation belonged to the oldest member of the expedition, Jirka Dohnal, the deputy director of ZENTIVA, who took part in diving at the Komodo Islands last year.
Lamalera 2007
A fantastic expedition to Lembata Island to see traditional indigenous whalers. On this expedition, we managed to record wonderful shots of sperm whale hunting. Such shots were recorded maybe only by BBC or National Geographic, and then by our expedition. Togeany, February 2008
Another wonderful expedition beyond the limits of ordinary days to the remote Togean Islands on Sulawesi. Even though this time the diving was not good due to the strong wind, waves, and bad ships on Bomba Island, it was still a marvellous expedition to the lonesome parts of Indonesia. Leuser NP, April 2008
It was an unbelievable experience in the middle of a jungle, when a female orangutan, some time ago rescued in an orangutan rehabilitative centre, joined us, to be saved from a pushing wild male orangutan. The group of adventures from Trutnov will probably never forget a night and day in the company of an anthropoid ape.
Ocean sunfish, August 2008
An immensely ssuccesful series of dives at Blue Corner and at MMPoint, where we dived among a shoal of ocean sunfish. Even Ivo Mitáček took part. He met these deepwater giants face to face for the first time in his life. Moreover, he was successful in taking a group of wonderful photos, similarly as Míra Čech. Right after them, Milan Caha arrived with a group of divers and managed to take amazing photos with his Nikon 80. In addition, we unexpectedly met even hammerhead sharks! SEA LADY Komodo, September 2008
In September 2008, we sailed on the Czech expeditionary dive ship SEA LADY and, to the satisfaction of all divers from Pardubice and Prague present, the fantastic safari on the Komodo Islands was open. We plan to operate there the whole next year before going farther to east. The Komodo Islands Circuit passes even around remote and very little known localities of eastern and southern Komodo and near Motang Island. An exceptional chance for divers with adventurous soul! SEA LADY Komodo, October – November 2008A fantastic series of dive adventures, which brought to the divers amazing experiences, encounters with hundreds mantas, with sharks, dolphins, or feasting lizards. Komodo turned out to be a great choice and offer for more experienced divers. Recommendations!!! SEA LADY Flores, end of November 2008
A firstcruise along the coast of northwestern Flores, from Labuan Bajo to Maumere. Exploring new amazing localities, magic walls at Palue (Raja) island, and beautiful beaches of the archipelago called the Tujubelas Islands, where we observed even a huge colony of Indian flying foxes. There is still enough to explore on this route, such as dive sites at Sukun and Pomana islands.
SEA LADY Eastern part of Flores and the Alor Islands –Baleo Expedition 2008
The close of the year belonged to the expedition Baleo, which successfully discovered new localities where sharks appear at Eastern Flores and Northern Lembata. We also visited the active volcano island of Komba and observed sperm whales and pilot whales at Southern Pantar. We even accompanied the traditional whale harponners from Lamalera on their hunt, which, after 2 hours and half of struggle, overwhelmed a huge male pilot whale. At the end, we observed blacktip reef sharks and reef sharks on hunt in the open sea, which were even joined by a bull shark more than 3m long. This expediton was a very successful one, and has laid a basis for similar actions in 2009.
